Mock execution
The mock execution is the pretense or imitation of the execution of a person by the discharge of rifles firing commissioner for that purpose.
In this case, however, including mock executions committed with other weapons too, like machine guns, pistols or revolvers. These exercises induce the victim to experience the imminence of death as a fact.
The Commission received testimony that referred to in this method of torture, used from the same September 11, 1973 until the end of military rule, which was massive and systematic implementation. Usually, the mock execution was accompanied by a staging that sought to give credence to the experience, thus preventing the suspect arrested fictional character proceeding. The victim could be carried from her room of confinement to a secluded spot where he was handcuffed and blindfold or hooded, and then instruct the platoon who actually fired. In some cases
blanks were used, although in most cases, they were real. The difference was that instead of pointing to his body, shot into the air, on the sides or on top of the victim.
As collateral damage of this method of torture include what happened with the inmates in their cells, barracks and rooms. Since only heard the shots, thought the person had died cause of the shooting, printing prolonged by the practice of not immediately reimburse the alleged shot the place of detention. The transit of other prisoners to induce the mock execution, the prisoners left behind to believe that his turn to die inexorably approaching. Record is kept of prisoners being subjected to more than a sham, its victims have always believed that in this particular occasion there was no pretense.

Russian Roulette

Confinement conditions subhuman
Prison is not in itself a method of torture. Aggravating prison conditions, such as incommunicado detention, nor can they be considered as a method of torture per se, but involve a greater infringement of the rights of the person, even if responding to an opinion of the competent judicial authority the framework of due process. Admitted to the above, it should be noted that the confinement of a person in a cell designed or decorated with the express purpose of causing physical or psychological suffering, is seen as a torture method.
The Commission met numerous testimonies concerning the confinement of this kind. The main characteristics of the cells or places where people were confined affected are:
• Confinement in cells where the detainee was deprived of all contact
with another person, for a period could be extended in some cases even months, causing mental conditions specific to the sensory and social deprivation. There are stories of people who were held in narrow cells, with no lighting, no windows or other ventilation system and no toilets, thus forced to urinate and defecate in the same place, while they were deprived of water and occasionally, they state food supplied decomposition, if not outright supported them forced fasting.
• Solitary confinement in cells with extremely small size, real
cages did not allow to stand or sit, forcing the person concerned to carry awkward positions during the day and night for prolonged periods. • Enclosures collective
cells in holds of ships or in cages, people must remain
crowded on each other and without
to relieve themselves.
• In the first months of political repression there are testimonies concerning situations or collective solitary confinement in cells where there were animals and insects, such as rodents, spiders, and other inexpensive.
