The Animal Police survey of Chile between March and May 2011 revealed that people prefer to report the animal abuse cases to the Investigations Police Chile with 57% of the preference in the survey.
37% of people said they prefer to report these cases to Carabineros de Chile in the first instance. 4%
denounce animal abuse cases directly to the Attorney and only 2% preferred the Courts .
Several factors influencing this survey, where at the time of opting for an institution presented the opinion and personal experience with these institutions, public opinion and image of the same entities in these cases, confidence level to institutions, efficiency in areas of reported animal abuse and its derivatives and opinions of persons who report past cases that you know.
No doubt the attitude and effectiveness of police, PDI, Prosecution and Courts of Justice in terms of influencing animal abuse is not only a matter of "who I like more."
However, despite the results a large number of people said that the police, courts and prosecutors are efficient and prefer to report via social networks and make the public case say it is more effective.
